Principal's Message

Dear Alcott Community,

It is with great excitement that I return to serve as Principal of Alcott Elementary School.  This opportunity holds special meaning for me, as I have had the privilege of building strong partnerships with our families and community during my time here from 2019-2023.

My journey in education began in 2006, when I started as a classroom teacher in my hometown of Noxubee County, MS.  After relocating to Houston in 2008, I have been fortunate to call Houston ISD my professional home.  Over the past 19 years, I have had the honor of serving in various roles, including Teacher, Intervention Specialist, Teacher Development Specialist, Teacher Specialist and Assistant Principal.

Championing for children is what I consider to be "heart work."  My ongoing mission is to ensure that all children have access to an outstanding school, dedicated teachers, and equitable opportunities that will have a lasting, positive impact on each of their lives.  

As we move forward together, I am excited to see the continued success of the Alcott community.  Together, we will inspire, impact, and influence the lives of EVERY child, EVERY day.
